The slow build-up was perfect, and I liked the small bits of mystery as Draco and Hermione withheld information about the curse and power-transfer spell. You did well by Ginny, too - she seemed happy, and I liked the way you used her pregnancy to convince Harry it was time to let go completely.
Watching Draco care for Harry really set the stage, and his massage sessions were hot. Great build-up, with lots of confusion/denial in the interim. ;)
But I'm dying to know - how did Snape know about the lack of counterspell? Did he cast the curse? Did I miss seeing this one explained, or do you plan to leave us hanging? *sobs*
Anyway, very nice.

“Are you ready for the massage of your life, Draco?”
“Or the torture session of my life. Is this some sort of twisted act of revenge?”
That was so funny! Thanks for writing.

of course the ending was amazing, too. i got worried about half-way through when it was revealed that draco was suffering from the incomplete bond. when harry finally storms into draco's flat, and the smex that ensues...*sigh*. i also cannot thank you enough for continuing the story past that scene, and allowing us an actual glimpse at their lives together. so many people get to the resolution of the ust and end it right there, but i much prefer it the way you handled it. the bickering while christmas shopping, the marriage proposal, and the wanking in the snow made everything feel even more real. will rec this for sure.

I don't have enough words to describe how awed I am. It was brilliant. The amount of detail you put in the story... I think you just killed me with the way Harry noticed Draco's hair glowing in the fairy lights and Draco's description of the things he liked and noticed about Harry. And with Harry's insulting explanation how he got to know Draco and that under his "abrasive and sarcastic and snobbish and rude" exterior there's a person who's "warm and kind and generous and honest". It's always the small things that really make me get the whole picture.
And I like how you didn't make it about the mystery of the person who cast the spell, though the tiny tidbit about Snape knowing more than he was supposed to, was a touch that made me wonder how exactly he came upon the knowledge.
I like your characters, all of them. They were realistic and human. Hermione, first disgruntled that Draco is on Harry's case but then she grows to be his friend. Draco's way of showing his love (so Gryffindorish of him, even if I suspect he'd kill me if he heard me say so). Ginny, being happy with her husband, Ron being a bit irresponsible, too fast to act before he thought, but still good. And Pansy was such a great bonus. Hateful, harsh, nasty and still doing her best. And her desire to stay and watch Harry and Draco at it. I am so willing to stay there with her. Her love for young toyboys (and Harry's comment about sending her one in a box for Christmas had me grinning like mad). And the public sex remark (and later wank session) were just so Slytherin.
I am amazed how you made that prompt yours. How you told a story that I love so much that I want to hug you so tight it hurts.
I love how Harry fell in love. And the massages that made him aware of his body and awaking sexuality, and Draco's brilliant hands. I wish I was in Harry's place. The way you described the rehabilitation was so realistic, you either did a through research or you have the knowledge otherwise. Whatever the case, it was fantastic.
I loved the build up, I loved how Draco was starting to deteriorate, how Harry was ignorant, yet willing to do practically anything to save Draco. And the wand that connected them even after Harry got one of his own. It was just another small detail that made the whole more vivid.
I am still sitting here smiling and trembling in delight and I feel like no matter what I say in this comment, it would never be enough to express my happiness and pleasure and adoration for you and the fic. The only reason I am not quoting half the fic is because I love it as a whole, not this phrase or that. There wasn't anything out of place. Not one word I'd let go without a fight.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can't wait to find out who you are and stalk you and your fics.

The whole story was extremely well-written, the attention to detail was amazing, the expressions carefully thought out and the plot superb. The chemistry between H and D was just breath-taking. Thank you so much for writing this.
Btw, your style reminds me a lot of

Harry's recovery was fascinating. The descriptions of the massage and first time were very sexy! The characterizations of Hermione and Pansy added a lot of fun.
Great story! :)

I loved the nickname of "Muddy" and Draco's singlemindedness of having Harry want him for him, and not the bond. Great job :)

I loved Pansy and Hugo and Rose--Hugo especially! What a little monster! XD
Also, I loved that you had Ron and Hermione divorce and then possibly get back together. I just can see them having a totally happy marriage, but I think they'd work things through. =)
lol, and lest you think I only loved the supporting characters... I also adored Draco in this story. Such a wounded, pathetic bastard. XDDDD But awwww... I love that he didn't want to force Harry, even to his own death. So sweet! =)

And your Harry, so in character, oblivious and frustrated. And so adorable trying to solve the mystery of Draco’s lack of magic, running into a wall of suspicious avoidance at every turn.
Also the way they finally got together, their reactions, Draco’ that thinks he is dreaming, thinking it cute that “dream Harry” talks back, saying things he could not predict. His bewilderment that Harry really wants him, that it’s not just a saving thing.
Harry’s total willingness to surrender into the whole concept of bonding, hardly minding that his magic might be gone, cause it doesn’t matter, he already have what he wants. “I’ve never seen you babble before. It’s so cute.”
I’ll shut up now, or else I would go on forever gushing over this concentrated epic. I’m no more coherent than babbling Draco.
*scrolls back to reread…*
edt: PS. Harry's idea for a Chrismas present for Pansy really cracked me up! XD XD And who cast the spell, and why??? Was it Snape all along?

The whole story was fabulous, but I totally laughed out loud at this Snape quote:
Snape barked a laugh. “Potter could not perform Occlumency on a squirrel to determine where it stuffed the nuts currently residing in its cheeks.”
Wonderful job!

'Muddy' was brilliant even before we knew its entirely innocent origin. I like the way you tied off the loose end that was Ginny in a way that doesn't make her a horrible person. I really felt that the boys were very much in character, with Draco reluctant to be the hero even though he was and Harry merrily oblivious until it all came together for him. Poor Ibby was so sad when Draco went away!
I am, however, a bit interested in how Snape knew precisely what spell had been used on Harry in the first place... *gives Snape the Eye*

Seriously, this fic must have been my favourite of the fest so far! I loved every single character, Hermione was lovely and Draco calling her Muddy! So cute! The ending was everything I was expecting and MORE.
Really, I am totally amazed with this. Thank you so much!
