Hold on, I will give you coherent praise when I am done EXPLODING ALL OVER MY COMPUTER. ASDFGHAJLDSKJHASDF.
This fic made me giddy. Like, actually, squirming around on my sofa, kicking my legs like a child giddy. That feeling of being on top of a roller coaster, those swoops and smiles and excitedness? Yeah, kind of perfectly conveyed by the tone of this fic.
Also Ginny was kind of awesome, and I died laughing at the bit with her and Harry wrestling.
Agh I can't even list all the reasons this is incredible because that I would just be listing things into the wee hours of the night and I must sleep.
But it was insanely incredible.

This is utterly delicious; I don't really know where to start. I adore your wicked humour and nearly woke my family in the middle of the night, cackling at Draco's ideas about Muggles. The humour is just perfect. I especially love Ron's reactions, and the noises he makes from the Floo on Harry's birthday. Harry saying "Fine. I'm a huge poofter. There, I hope you're happy." The scenes with Dudley are comedy gold. I want to bribe you to write more and more of Malfoy at Dudley's house.

Harry is... oh, he's so Harry. I fell in love with him again. His thought processes when he's debating whether to listen to Ron, or Robards, or whether to follow his own instincts, are fabulous. You conveyed perfectly his passionate, reckless impetus. I adore the theme of fear and fearlessness. The scenes where Draco faces his fears are so powerful and moving. His vulnerability and courage are so very charming and we can completely see Harry falling for him.

This is an instant favourite for me that I will read and reread. I already have various passages tucked away in my mind. The scene in the cafe, and Hermione's "You lucky thing." Harry thinking: "Malfoy was a wicked, filthy thing." Oh, and thank god he was. :D The smut and the romance was heavenly. Your way of letting us inside the characters' heads makes it so hot and intimate.

Finally, the last scene. It leaves you breathless and I agree totally with a previous commenter that reading your story is like being on a spellbinding rollercoaster. It makes me so happy I can't tell you. Thank you! ♥

I know, right? I think I'd read another 30K of that.

This story is utterly amazing, really, really good. I loved Draco's thoughts about muggles -so wrong and funny at the same time-, the friendship between Harry and Ginny, all the moments when Draco faces his fears and the relationship between Harry and Draco, so sweet and deep... And omg, when Draco is ready to wear a tuxedo because he's read about muggles XDDD

At the beginning I thought Draco was on drugs or something, but when I knew that Draco was going to die I got scared for a moment. Thank Merlin you didn't kill him. And the end was beautiful, so full of life, joy and love both of them.

This was a wonderful story, loved it to pieces!
The funny but awkward things Draco thought about Muggles, Harry's fearlessness of death until Draco reigns him in and Draco's condition...wonderful story, mystery author!

Dear, dear author, some things are perfect; this is one of them! ♥

Where to begin? I think the first thing I have to mention is HARRY. And he was such a HARRY. My wonderful, fearless, slightly messed up, passionate, beautiful Harry. My heart cracked (and thank you for never breaking it completely!) with every new scene where we find out more about why he does what he does. That's the Harry that came back from the King's Cross station to keep fighting for others, to save others. Just... THIS THIS THIS YES! I loved him here as I loved him in canon.

So, basically, what I'm saying is (((((((♥HARRY♥)))))))

And Draco! My poor Draco trying to conquer his fears. And his heart-wrenching reasons for it. Just thinking back on it makes me want to hug him and cry. And at the same time he was perfectly ridiculous with his dealings with Muggles; his wrong, wrong ideas and beliefs. I don't even know how he managed to amuse me so much and at the same time make me tear up.

Short version: (((((((♥DRACO♥)))))))

What a pair they made! And the development of their relationship was so plausibly done. I loved watching love sneaking up on Harry and how he was falling deeper and deeper without realising it. I love when a story shows me how and why Harry fell in love with Draco. Oh that dizzy euphoria of the first kissing scene! ♥ My favourite thing in the world, that.

Of course, I also have to mention the side characters. Ron and Hermione were perfectly IC, worried and supportive and meddling with the best intentions. And I loved seeing Ginny and Harry like this: a pair of ridiculous mates who can't stop kicking each other. The wrestling scene! ♥ And of course! The Dursleys! Oh man. Every fic should have a Malfoy meets the Dursleys scene, I've decided.

Love how you handled the background plot, too. It was vital for the storytelling, well thought out, but always in the service of characterizations. And this is a character driven story, so it worked out perfectly.

And I loved your writing, the dialogue, the HUMOUR! And the sex; let's not forget that.

And the final scene is frame-it-and-hang-it-on-the-wall perfect.

And I probably forgot to mention ten million things I also loved.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ So much love for you and this story!

I feel like I won at HD Hols this year. Just won all the best of everything. Seriously. I love this story so much. Now you'll just have to bear with my somewhat incoherent thoughts on this story, because damn... it was that good.

I love your Harry. I love his absolutely crazy, addicted to the high of feeling and feeling alive attitude that drives him to risk his life to save people. I can absolutely see him coming out of the war that way. It just makes so much sense.

And, your Draco, and his desire to push himself, to face his fears, and dragging Harry along with him because (at least in my head) Harry is one of his fears. This I can see too, because he was so afraid by the end of the war and yet he faced so many horrors.

God, that scene with Dudley. I laughed so hard. You just captured it perfectly. All of them, especially Dudley, and it felt so real, so perfect for the three of them.

And then there was the scene with the werewolves. That was such a visceral moment. The little kid, first laughing, then clinging to his mother, then playing. And Draco not just watching, but conquering his fear enough to walk amongst them.

So, yes, Harry and Draco. But also Dudley and Ginny (OMG, I love your Ginny) and even Ron and Hermione. I ♥ them all so much.

But then there was this moment, the one that made my heart clench and had me going YES in all the right ways:

"And then he realised--this was just like flying. No. It was like crashing. Crashing and coming out alive again. [...] Malfoy, whom Harry had saved from the fire. One person he had saved."

That moment was like falling in love, just the way Harry is.

Thank you so much for this gift that I will read again and again. It's just a wonderful, gorgeously layered story. I have so much love for this story and for the characters in it and for you.

Wonderful, wonderful story! I admit I had to go back and check the warnings toward the end, to make sure I hadn't missed something important. But, whew! Just beautifully told, and I could see this so clearly, like a film playing in front of me. I loved Draco's *cough*bucket list*cough* and the humor with Gin and Harry, and Hermione when she say how happy Harry was - just, seriously, everything about this story was appealing and wonderfully done. Brava!

Ooh, thank goodness you let us off at the end. I was gearing up to bawl. Thank you for writing a story that was so lighthearted in places and so deeply touching in others. I loved how in character everyone was, especially Harry. And your Ron was better than canon, because he's grown and matured and become at peace with himself. He was such a fabulous supporting character here.

I love this so much! Your Harry was so interesting and yet completely believable. I felt for Ron and the position he was in. That whole dynamic with them and Robards was so well done. Actually, your whole supporting cast was brilliant. I love Hermione saving the day with her brilliance, and Pansy putting her own issues aside to get Harry to Draco. Your Ginny was fabulous, especially her violently friendly relationship with Harry. Oh, and I do hope that Harry and Dudley made up in the end. Even if it was hilarious that Dudley grabbed his bum at the sight of a wand, I did enjoy that the cousins had made nice. This was touching, exciting, and all round lovely.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved how they challenged and helped each other to overcome their fears, giving as they were able. I appreciated that you kept this so positive--such a fic could have easily been heavy on the angst. Well done, for sure. This was a fun read!

Oh god, this is one of those fics that reminds me of why I love this ship and makes me fall in love with it, and with both of the boys individually, all over again, and I am overflowing with giddy ship feelings, and even though it is very late here, I am going to ramble at you mystery author, oh god, I am so happy! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Every single character, and each individual relationship with Harry, is perfect. I am bursting with joy over Ron and Hermione's presence and loyalty and concern, especially Ron's, ugh, and also the fun interactions between Harry and Ginny – THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I WANT THEM TO BE TOGETHER, SO EXACTLY THAT I AM CAPSLOCKING AT YOU. YES. I WANT THEM TO BEAT EACH OTHER UP AND BE COMPETITIVE AND SILLY AND FRIENDS. IT'S PERFECT.

I think your Harry is one of my absolute favorites I've read, and one of the closest to canon for me. His dry sense of humor!, his recklessness, the way he cared about saving everyone but himself - and sigh, the way he fell for Draco and went for it with his whole heart. You did a beautiful job slowly revealing the reasoning behind his actions, and it never felt melodramatic like the subject matter easily could have.

Same goes for Draco's struggle - the balance between humor and feelings kept everything from getting too heavy and had me turning to mush and laughing out loud in turns. Your comedic timing is brilliant in so many moments - "It's not Malfoy." "Really?" "No. It's Malfoy." - and my soft spot for ignorant-of-muggles!Draco rendered me hysterical at the scene in Dudley's apartment, omg.

Draco is so fragile and vulnerable here, and trying so hard, and it feels so true to canon. One of those fics where I honestly fell in love with him along with Harry (which can also be attributed to how lovely and sweet and slightly awkward and real the romance and the sex felt). This is my Draco, vulnerable and a little silly and trying so hard to be brave, and he, like everything else in this fic, was a delight to read.

Thank you so much for sharing. One of my favorites of the fest for sure! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Quick possibly one of the most perfect fics I've ever read <3

I just want to squish Harry and snuggle him forever. His friendship with Ginny, his partnership with Ron, even the fact he sends Christmas cards to Dudley. NGHHH it just meets my head cannon so well.

I love that he doesn't know he's gay, even though Ron and Hermione do <3

And yes I could just go on for hours about my love for this. I too nearly woke my parents laughing hysterically of Draco's perceptions of muggles, because YES!

OMG OMG THIS STORY!!! The end!! The end!!! I LOOOOOOOOVE THE ENDING OMG!!!!!! *flails*

When Draco first appears I thought he was on drugs. He was such a manic mess but then I thought that was too easy but I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him at all. When it came out he was dying all the pieces slipped so perfectly into place that 1) I felt like an idiot for not seeing it before and 2) thought it was masterful writing that I didn't see it before but it was so clear.

I think my favorite thing about this, besides the mind blowing sex, was that the case and Harry's relationship with Draco are separate. Usually Draco is a part of Harry's case in one way or another. The way you did that was so great because the story didn't end up feeling like two different stories it felt very real to being in Harry's every day life. I loved Harry running into the fire, SO HARRY. I know and understand how his friends feel but would we love him less if he wasn't somehow still that Harry. I like thinking about that and how this story made me think.

Lovely beautiful work. A truly brilliant job. And lastly when Harry blows Draco for the first time *dead*
