Author's Notes: fireflavored, your request has brought me a lot of joy and helped me to write something that's been waiting to come out for a very long time, so thank you so much for that. I only hope, after that open ended prompt, that it pleases you! Thanks to my beta for treating this story with the utmost seriousness, and of course, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the mods for running this wonderful fest! I am so happy and honored to have participated in the final year! Happy holidays! (Oh, and I stole my title from a very lovely poem by Richard Siken, who, if you do not already know it, is perfect in every way.)

I love this story. I love the drawn out unresolved sexual tension. I love they do get to know one another before they finally figure out that they both have been wanting one another. I love the characterization--so thoroughly works for me. And the fact that they are both so messed up in their own particular ways and that they still are wonderful and able to love one another.

Stayed up very late to read this story - I literally could not tear my eyes away from the text!

Incredibly competent and layered writing. I loved your characterization of Draco, off-kilter and irresistible. It didn't feel entirely uncanon either, despite his peculiar life circumstances. Your Harry was wonderful as well, I love the way you approached his sexuality (bisexual always made the most sense to me!) I loved Hermione and Ron too, one particular quote made me die from glee - "If you think I'm going to camp all over the fucking country and save your arse when you're stuck in a frozen pond and stab a fucking demon locket and all that rubbish I've done for you, and then have a problem if you want to shag a bloke some time, you're an idiot."

Loved the images of Draco singing off-tune, smoking cigarettes, H/D sharing the coat, Harry's stalking tendencies and his "His name is really Draco, you know"

Sorry for not making too much sense, but I just loved the story! Thank you for sharing.

Okay...where to begin? First off, to be very clear, I LOVE IT. (In case you could not already work that out :D)

I can't believe you took my crazy prompt (what was it? three words and some incoherent cheerleading?) and turned it into EXACTLY what I meant to say I wanted. You are a genius! What I always love best about good coffee shop trope stories––and the reason I asked for one––is that sense of home and warmth in the cafe that infuses the story with same. I didn't say any of that, but you did it anyway! That this shop has provided a sense of place and purpose and family for Draco, and eventually Harry, makes me overflow with satisfaction. OVERFLOW, I TELL YOU!!!!

I loved the huge cast of characters, both canon and original. Everybody was unique and populated the world with something special, and Ron and Hermione broke my heart, they are such fucking amazing friends. And I really loved Draco and Harry. When I was babbling about wanting to hear the story you wanted for them, I wondered if my gifter would just be totally side-eyeing me for my vague and useless prompt (and I bet you were), but I feel like that's what I got, anyway! You are such a champion!! There is so much genuine heart and love in this story. I seriously got a little misty for Harry when he was breaking down in front of Hermione. I just wanted to climb into to bed with all of them, too, and rock him to sleep for a while!

It's late. I'm rambling. To sum up...

Wow, I really loved this! I liked Harry's aimlessness, and the way he gradually came to terms with his sexuality - especially the hints of his attraction to Draco - as well the relationship he had with his friends. His break up with Ginny was believable, sad, and well done. And as for Draco, he was just, as would say, marvellous. He was so wonderfully crabby and yet so earnest, and the idea of him being fascinated with Muggle things, even the mentioning of his name along with Arthur Weasley's, was great. Harry and Draco were the perfect counterpoint for each other, they really were. Both felt believable: this is how they could have been after the war was over. I thought your original characters were good too - they added something to the story without taking it over at all. There was a lightness to your writing style, and a sense that you were total control of your story which I also liked. The banter between friends as well as between Harry and Draco good, too. There's probably lots more I could comment on, but mainly I just wanted to say thanks for a really great read!

I want to hug this story to my chest and never let it go. It is an extremely silly time - 6:30 in the morning, but once I began, it begged to be finished.
If you were reaching for the moon in terms of awesomeness, I think you landed beyond the stats, instead.
Hagrid-sized hug to you, author.

i think that possibly, maybe im falling for you / /
no one understands me quite like you do
through all of the shadowy corners of me / /
i never knew just what it was about this old coffee shop i love so much all of the while i never knew

[sorry couldnt resist, but i think this song a bit proper for coffe shop-ish romance *sigh*]

I LOVE THIS ♥ [the only thing i do not love is there aren't quite much teddy *pout* and teddy moment with draco and harry, i think that'd be adorbs *sigh*]

i dont think i'm that coherent right now, but you must know i love monster fic bcos we could get so much delicious ust and built up feeling and so many moments and guh; you just did it beautifully for all that, and more. and the characters, i love it that you wrote oc with personalities; they felt real, and made the story more real too.

i love ron ,oh my, he's so grown up *pets him*, and i want to quote my fav moments but there are too many xp i love your draco with his muggling and quirks and issues, and harry too. i think they'd be perfect for each other.

you broke my heart when harry has a breakdown after he caught draco kissed whathisname in the pub {i reeally want to kick the dursley's arses for making him feel unworthy}, and then sleeping with ron and hermione[platonically]. i actually cried, i still has the snot induced tissue right beside me ;D

i wish they get their newts soon and bought a flat and move in together and had job and being domesticated together, and then they got to spend time with teddy and live happily ever after, hee :D ♥

I am head over heels in love with this story. To the extent I have no idea how put my feelings into words. Just, wow. Possibly the best thing I have read this year (which involved me reading a lot of fic). Definitely one of my top post-DH fics ever. So much love. Especially for the friendships, and Ron and Hermione and just everything about Harry and Draco. Wish I could write more, but still to close to just feeling amazed by it.

OMG so amazing!! I mean, seriously... I don't even know where to start! Where to even begin to describe just how amazing this is. And frankly, "amazing" doesn't even begin to cover it! This... THIS is all kinds of brilliance and the journey it took to devourread it all is one of the most enjoyable, most powerful, most exquisite experience ever! I love everything about this piece! Brace yourself, mystery author because this is going to be a long, long, long comment with me waxing poetic about your brilliance!

First of all, brilliant characterisations! They're so canon! So believable! So lovable! Your Harry, OMG!! So aimless, so clueless, so awkward and so damn earnest! Of course he had to be told there is such a thing as bisexuality... You know, you've made me fall for Harry right from the start... when he was all drunk and loud and so adorably curious about Malfoy and in love with Ginny.... he was so Harry. Then there came the part where he literally had to be informed of his bisexuality, and I just... I didn't even know it was possible to fall even more in love with this Harry but I did. I ached when he ached and pined for Draco. Honestly, I can see why and how he could have fallen for this Draco even if Ron, Hermione and the rest of his friends couldn't.... which frankly, was what made this story soooo brilliant! Your Draco! OMGOMGOMG! What made this a gem in my eyes was the way you wrote Draco. He wasn't super beautiful nor was he super hot. He was still that annoying prat he has always been, tweaked a little bit with his new insight of life and some moral values. Sure, he has finally matured enough to be able to see past pureblood prejudices, to be able to admit that he was wrong and his parents were wrong. But at the end of the day, he was still his imperfect self. And yet you've written him in a way that shows us how perfect he was, despite all his imperfections! You made us fall in love with him as Harry did! You made us see what Harry saw in him! He was still Malfoy, and yet he was also Draco. Draco who was quirky and mad and adorable as hell! Seriously, "quirky" doesn't even begin to cover his.... madness. And yet, all that just made him more lovable than ever! I love that the both of them are so imperfect and yet they are perfect for each other!

And that's what made everything about this story so brilliant! You didn't just made me SEE how lovable Harry and Draco (and even Harry's friends and Draco's muggle friends) are. You made me FEEL it too! I didn't like Draco at the beginning of this story when he was all standoffish and overly defensive but you made me fell in love with him as Harry did. I am in love with this Draco and I'm ashamed to say I'm almost jealous of Harry because clearly this is all fictional and I'm never gonna end up married to Draco. Because he's fictional and he belongs to fictional!Harry and all. But god, I want to.

I'm not sure if any of this make sense to you because I'm high on this.... this story, this universe of yours. I think you're brilliant and EVERYTHING IN THIS STORY IS BRILLIANT AND SO VERY AMAZING! *happy sigh* Like I've said, this is all kinds of brilliance and thank you so, so, so, so much for writing this and making me feel so happy and high I could walk in clouds :D

I was NOT supposed to be reading this today, but I just couldn't put it down. I am flailing so hard and I don't have words but I LOVE THIS. Every step, every moment. I love Harry trying so desperately to work things out and how clueless he was along the way and all his missteps and realizations. I loved the moment when he realized his own sexuality because it worked. It didn't feel shoehorned in or anything, it just fit that yes, well, when WOULD he have had a chance to understand everything? I loved being able to watch Draco and guess what was going on, even while Harry still didn't get it. And it just... it just... it's beautiful. Thank you for writing and sharing this, mystery author.

This fic is amazing! I loved every minute of it, Harry and Draco both felt very real to me. And I also loved that the title came from Litany In Which Certain Things Are Crossed Out! Siken's poems are beautiful and that's one of my favorites.

What an amazing fic! Harry being lost in a post-war world seemed very believable, luckily he had the best possbile group of friends around him to support and love him. Draco was doing wonderfully well in the Muggle world, and it was hilarious to read about the first few very unsuccessful times he and Harry met by accident before they started to work it out. The growing lust and love between them was such a delicious read, and it ended the best possible way, too. I'm very much in love with this fic right now. Thank you! <3
